Info for Incoming 9th Grade Students

Step 1: Online Registration

All incoming 9th graders begin their enrollment to SUHSD by submitting an Online Registration application. This application includes answering questions and uploading documents for residency verification, parent/guardian and emergency contact information, and important student-related information to enroll.

If you are interested in having your student enroll at TIDE or EPAA, or a school other than the one assigned by your home address, complete an Open Enrollment request when submitting Online Registration (due by February 1 annually).

Step 2: SUHSD Visits to 8th Graders

SUHSD counselors schedule visits with current 8th graders in the early Spring at their current schools. This will include presentations and important information with finalizing enrollment and selecting courses for their 9th grade year.

Step 3: Course Selection

Course selections will be coordinated at feeder schools when SUHSD liaisons visit in Step 2. Students will receive the request form to take home and review with their parents/guardians. The request form will be collected at the feeder school and sent to SUHSD liaisons for loading into the Student Information System. Parents/Guardians will have the option to modify the course selection requests during the Online Information Update window, annually in May.

Step 4: Online Information Update

This mandatory update to student and parent information occurs annually in the month of May.

Step 5: Arena Registration

Each school site will be in communication during the Summer. This communication will include information about Arena Registration and Schedule pickup.
