November 21, 10:55 am:
This morning at 7:15 am, Carlmont Plant Manager Jerome Clark was notified by the Mid Peninsula Water District that a water main was broken under the road near campus at the intersection of Alameda de las Pulgas and Chula Drive. Water to the school was turned off to fix the break. Prinicpal Buckland-Murray was subsequently notified. After determining a timeline for possible repairs, the decision was made to close the school. Notifications via text message, audio call and email were sent to parents, students and staff between 8 am and 8:15 am.
Update, 1:45 pm:
We learned at 12:10pm that water service had been restored.
We expect school to be in session on Monday, as scheduled.
