New Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and Board of Trustees
Laura Lauese has been appointed Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and the Board of Trustees.
Ms. Lauese is currently the Senior Administrative Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services Department, where her positive attitude has garnered her respect from peers, student, and community members throughout the District. From 2001-2013, Laura provided support to the Director of Special Education.
Always known for being accessible and willing to support colleagues, Lauese was selected as the Sequoia Union High School District’s Classified Employee of the Year for her service in 2018.
Lauese has a deep connection to the District as she originally began working at Redwood High School in 1991, and has two sons that graduated from Sequoia High School.
During her off time, she enjoys playing the piano and listening to music.
Lauese is currently participating in the College for Working Adults program at Cañada College; her goal is to transfer into the University of California system and obtain a sociology degree.
