About the program
Developing Our Own at Sequoia Union High School District is an award-winning program designed to support members of the District's classified employee pool through the teacher credentialing program. The District covers tuition and fees for all employees accepted into the cohort.
The District partners with Notre Dame de Namur University to provide this opportunity to staff.

Requirements to apply
- Six hour, nine month employment as a SUHSD employee
- A college degree
- Have worked for the district for two years in a 30+ hours a week position
- A commitment to twice-a-week California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) study sessions until all CSET tests required for credential are passed
- A commitment to complete the program in one year, or five semesters if seeking a special education credential
