Board of Trustees
Members of the Sequoia Union High School District Board of Trustees are elected by the general population. Board members are elected to four-year terms. Student Advisory Council (SAC) members rotate to attend Board Meetings as Student Board Members and serve a one-year term.
The public may email all board members via board@seq.org The role of the school board is to ensure that school districts are responsive to the values, beliefs and priorities of their communities. Boards fulfill this role by performing five major responsibilities:
- Setting direction
- Establishing an effective and efficient structure
- Providing support
- Ensuring accountability
- Providing community leadership as advocates for children, the school district and public schools
