COVID-19 Updates

The San Mateo County Health Officer issued a School Operations Modification Order to dismiss students from regular attendance and implement distance learning plans effective March 16th. The order is issued in a strategic effort to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by preventing initial exposure and secondary transmission. It is important to note that the San Mateo Health Department’s decision to dismiss students from school was intended with the purpose of practicing social distancing, not social isolation. 
 
On May 2021, the Sequoia Union High School District announced its plan to return to 100% in-person instruction for all students in the Fall. Students will be on campus full-time five days a week, with no asynchronous Wednesdays and full (pre-covid) instructional minutes. Only students under Independent Study will be allowed to remain with a Distance Learning option.
