The Academy Program

The Academy Program is a unique partnership between public education and the private sector to provide technical and academic training to high school students. The students gain hands-on experience with computers in a unique school-within-a-school setting and have the opportunity to work with mentors from the high-tech industry. Academies have been established at Carlmont, Menlo-Atherton, Sequoia and Woodside High Schools.

Academy Goals

  • Reduce the drop-out rate for underperforming students.
  • Reduce the high unemployment for high school graduates.
  • Prepare our students for entry level high tech work and post-secondary education.
  • To improve our students' Grade Point Averages
