Self Collage
What to do :
- Create a folder in your H: drive and name it Collage, save all your work for this project in here.
- Using the internet, digital camera, and scanner, find images and words that reflect who you are, your values, hobbies…..
- Begin by gathering at least 10 images that reflect your beliefs and are interesting to you. SCHOOL APPROPRIATE ONLY.
- Using the selection tools, isolate the image, or one aspect of the image that you like. The images should have an odd shape outline, DO NOT just cut and paste a rectangular image.
- In PhotoShop. Choose File > New. Make the document 7 inches by 5 inches, and have a resolution of 200 pixels per inch.
- Minimum requirements: 10 images, 5 words, use of 3 layer styles, deliberate selections.
- Again, you should be using the images that represent you. Include words, hopes, wishes, dreams…whatever symbolizes you.
- Post your work on your Portfolio Site in addition to turning in a copy to the submission drive.
- TURN IN A COPY: Using the Save for web.. option, prepare a copy of your finished collage. Please turn in a JPEG image with the Image Size set to 250 pixels on the short side. Make the file name for this image studentid_collage (replacing the word studentid for your actual student id number). You can save this wherever you like in your home drive and then turn in a copy to your period folder on the student submission drive.
