ONE MORE REMINDER THAT FRESHMAN ELECTIONS will be held TOMORROW - Wednesday, Sept. 23rd.  All teachers of freshmen should take their students to Carrington Hall at the start of 4th period to hear speeches and vote.  The assembly should not take more than half of the period.  If you have mixed grade level classes, you may bring the whole class or send down the freshmen on their own.      S. Morell

SEQUOIA’S TUESDAY NIGHT MATH TUTORIAL IS TONIGHT! The Math Department holds tutorials every Tuesday afternoon/evening!  There are two groups in different rooms as follows:
*Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II/Trig, & Algebra II from 4:30-6pm in the library and from 6-7:30pm in Room 114.
*IB Math SL, IB Math Studies, Pre Calculus & AP Calculus from 4:30-5pm in the library and 5-7:30pm in Room 142               OR Room 109.     L. Larkin

SENIORS APPLYING TO UCS!  You are still REQUIRED to take two SAT Subject Area Exams along with your A-G course work and SAT or ACT with Writing Exam.  Some are confused about the changes in the UC system that won't take place until the graduating class of 2012.  See Ms. Ignaitis if needed.     T. Ignaitis

REMINDERS about the fall musical, GUYS & DOLLS:
*This Thursday and Friday, the 24th and 25th, DURING lunch in the dance studio, 2009 Sequoia grad & Dance Award winner Rebecca Lowe (the Guys and Dolls assistant choreographer) - will teach the dance audition combo to any interested gal.  Set to the song TAKE BACK YOUR MINK - the dance combo is about a 4-minute number.
*Auditions - Monday, 9/28 at 5:30 - (for those who cannot make it on Monday, make ups will be Tuesday, 9/29.
*Auditions for the Hot Box Dancers will take place at call-backs on Tuesday the 29th. ALL interested gals should learn the combo.     
*Sign up sheets, audition information & audition song are available outside of M5 in the Music Wing
*Call backs - Tuesday, 9/29, from 5:30 on - all who auditioned invited to attend.
*First Meeting and rehearsal Wed., 9/30 - 5:30
*Rehearsals begin 10/4:  Mondays - Thursdays - 5:30 to 8:30pm (actors time will be scheduled) 
*Show performs - December 4 and 5
*Worried about the time commitment?  Flexibility is the key.
