- I am looking for a few volunteers for the College and Career Center
to take on a major project. I would like to start a mentor program for
our seniors and eventually other grade levels where students can have a
job shadowing experience. If this sounds interesting and you have time

Jasmine is having a great semester academically and has been extremely
helpful and diligent in her World Studies 3 class keeping the sample
binder in order for everyone else. We appreciate her sense of humor and
are glad to have her here at Sequoia!

STUDENTS AND STAFF: Remember that our team name and our mascot are two
different things, just like Stanford's. Our mascot symbol, imagery is a
raven; our team name is the Cherokees. Customarily, one cheers for the
team (Cherokees) or the school (Sequoia). We are not called the Cherokee
Ravens or the Sequoia Ravens. If you feel the need to address questions,
concerns or a desire to discuss the topic, please address your concerns
to the

A REMINDER that the last Tuesday night Grade Level College/IB Meeting
is scheduled for FRESHMAN parents and students TOMORROW - Tuesday,
10/27, from 6-7pm in the Multipurpose room. Remember that if you are
planning on going to four-year university or college, you and your
parents should plan on coming to this meeting. Translation will be

ATTENTION ALL WINTER SPORT ATHLETES...to participate on a Winter sports
team, you must fill out the sports clearance form found at the AVP
office, complete a physical exam, and purchase a PAL sticker.
Additionally, if you're currently playing a Fall sport and wish to play
a Winter sport, you must fill out a new clearance form. Stop by the AVP

5, 2009 SAT test is Friday, Oct. 30th. To register online go to
