To find the information your student already put in to his/her
CSUMentor account go to: http://www.csumentor.edu   sign on NEXT: go to
"Plan for College"  NEXT: click on the box  "High School Planner" scroll
down and click on "Get started with CSU High School Planner" .The
CSUMentor Help Desk number is 1 800 Go-To-XAP or

- Sequoia will hold college informational presentation for each grade
level each Tuesday during the month of October from 6 to 7 PM in the
MPR.  General grade level college information will be presented
followed
by IB specific information.  Translation will be provided.
Dates are as follows:
Juniors 10/13 - TONIGHT!
Sophomores 10/20
Freshmen 10/27

- A reminder about UC Admissions:  Students are still required to take
two SAT  Subject Area Exams along with your A-G course work and SAT or
ACT with Writing Exam.  Some are confused because of the announced
changes last year by the UC Board of Regents.  The entering UC freshman
class of 2012 will not be required to take the Subject Area Exams. Our
now juniors and seniors still need them if they are applying to any of
the UCs.  Students applying to other four-year universities need to look
at each individual websites to see what standardize requirements are

ALL STUDENTS INTERESTED IN PLAYING INTRAMURAL soccer or in the 3 on 3
basketball tournament, please stop by the big gym at lunch this
Thursday.  Soccer is 5 on 5.  We will have different levels.  Bring your
team out to the meeting.  We will start competition by next week.  Both

CALIFORNIA MATH LEAGUE CONTEST #P1 will be given this Thursday & Friday

SEQUOIA’S TUESDAY NIGHT MATH TUTORIAL IS TONIGHT! The Math Dept.
holds tutorials every Tuesday afternoon/evening!  There are two groups
in different rooms as follows:
●Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II/Trig, & Algebra II from 4:30-6pm in
the library and 
from 6-7:30pm in Room 114.
●IB Math SL, IB Math Studies, Pre Calculus & AP Calculus from
4:30-5pm in the library and 5-7:30pm in Room 142               OR Room

A REMINDER that the Grade Level College/IB Meetings for parents and
students are scheduled for the following Tuesdays during the month of
October:  
Juniors - Tues., Oct. 13 (TONIGHT)
Sophomores - Tues., Oct. 20
Freshmen - Tues., Oct 27

Where: Multi Purpose Room

 *** REMINDERS ***

SPORTS CLEARANCE:  A reminder that any student who is planning on
playing a Winter Sport (basketball, soccer, wrestling) must turn in
their completed sports packets to the AVP office no earlier than Monday,
October 19th ... and NO later than Friday, November 13th.  NO
EXCEPTIONS.  See Lisa Picchi in the AVP office for more info.  Also,
remember to get cleared by the Library and Treasurer before turning in
