TECHSHOP WORKSHOPS & SUMMER ROBOTICS
M-A's robotics team is actively recruiting new members, as a large part
of the current team will graduate in 2009. As a part of the effort to
both bring new people in and help train them, the team has made
arrangements with the TechShop in Menlo Park (www.techshop.ws) to offer
a series of workshops on Tuesday June 17th and Thursday, June 19th on
the following topics: TIG Welding, Manual Mill, Manual Lathe, CNC Mill,
Carbon Fiber. The workshops are half-day sessions, $30 per student.
Priority is given to current and prospective MA robotics team members,
but other interested M-A students can sign up too. In addition, there
may be some robotics project work over the summer. You don't have to
start off knowing anything to get involved; all you need is curiosity
and a willingness to learn! If you are interested in the workshops,
please respond right away, by June 1st. To find out more, or to find out
about robotics in general, contact: info at marobotics.org.

TEEN SUMMER READING PROGRAM
This summer, teens who join the Menlo Park library's Teen Summer Reading
Program have a chance to win a prize! To join, simply register online at
http://www.menloparklibrary.org and record the number of books you plan
to read this summer. Stop by the library to pick up bookmarks and
giveaways (and books!). Then use the online log book to record the
titles of the books you read, and add reviews or summaries. Everyone who
registers will be entered in our raffle - three lucky winners will
receive an iPod nano or a $50 gift certificate from Kepler's Books.

SPORTS PHYSICALS
All students who are interested in playing sports next year will need to
have a current physical form to turn in. BAK will be holding physicals
for M-A students on Saturday May 31st starting at 8:30 AM at their
office in Menlo Park. These physicals will be good for all sports, but
this will be the only date available for students interested in playing
a fall sport, so don't miss out. BAK Physical Therapy is located at 705
Oak Grove in downtown Menlo Park. The physical is valid for 2008-2009
school year (All three seasons!). The physical is $20 cash, check or
credit card. There are no appointments, first come/first served. Any
questions please contact ajamison at seq.org.

Go Bears. Grrrr.
