another strong season, having won both the PAL League Title and placing
1st at the CCS Regional Tournament. The Bears would like to thank
Coaches Buff Giurlani and Mike Staskus for their dedication to the team,
their tremendous knowledge of the sport, and their continuous guidance
throughout this winning season!
BASEBALL - CCS RESULTS
Congratulations to the varsity baseball team for winning M-A's first
ever CCS game over Santa Teresa 4-3. Here is the report from Dennis
Romley, M-A's stats expert. "Stellar Pitching by Stosz, Clutch hitting
by Knapp, Viegas, Sylvester and Bader, RBI effectiveness by Mosher,
Defensive heroics by Romley plus a team that plays like it will never
give up and stays in the game until the last pitch all combined to come
from behind and hold on to a 4 to 3 first round CCS victory over tough
Santa Teresa today at Bettencourt Field." The team takes on Valley
Christian next on Saturday at 1:00PM at the PAL field in San Jose.
