PTA GENERAL MEETING 
Please join us on Wednesday, May 7th, at 8:30AM in Room F-15 to hear important information on a new Academic Integrity Policy for our students. Discussions are being held by the SDMSC on cheating and how to handle it.  We need your input!  We will be announcing this year's outstanding volunteers that will be receiving PTA Service Awards. Mr. Zito will attend!  We hope to see you. Julie Brody & Pam Stoner, Co-Presidents, M-A PTA

PROM TICKETS
Thursday, May 8 will be the FINAL day to purchase Prom tickets.  No tickets will be sold the day of Prom so buy them ahead of time!  Don't wait until the last minute!

*Senior News*
MANDATORY SENIOR SPEECH MEETING:  All Seniors who are planning on competing for one of the four spots will need to attend a MANDATORY speech meeting on Thursday, May 8 at lunch in Room B-4.  If you are unable to attend due to AP testing, please see Mr. Kessler or Ms. Galliano BEFORE Thursday, May 8.  If you do not make contact or attend the meeting, you will not be allowed to tryout for one of the speaking portions of graduation.

GRAD NIGHT TICKETS:  Every Tuesday, you may purchase your Grad Night Tix outside B-21.  Bring $45 and your TWO completed forms.  If you are 18, you still must have a parent sign your forms.

*Athletics*

LACROSSE
Friday, May 2 was Senior Day for Girls Lacrosse.  We congratulate seniors Margho Dunnahoo-Kirsch, Emma Neville, Sarah Vallarino, Julie Menninger, Julie Robinson, Shelly Camarillo, Megan Lazar, and Stefy Bertsch.  The girls varsity lacrosse team lost a tough Senior Day game to Gunn, 8 to 4. Goals were scored by Casey Burnett (2), Adrian Holland, and Alex Fanelli.  

FOOTBALL
All  football players who will be going to Cal Camp this summer need to come to an important meeting on Wednesday, May 7th during lunch in the new gym. Please contact Samantha Taylor at sam_t_2000 at yahoo.com or Coach Sykes if you have any questions.

The Football Program needs your email so you can stay "in the know" about all football events.  Just go to our website: menloathertonfootball.org and click on "Receive Emails".  We need everyone to sign up, even if you have a returning player.  Go to the web site and sign up today!

SWIMMING
The M-A Swim Bears ended the regular season with a sweet sweep against San Mateo. Girls varsity winners were Holly Chen (200IM 2:35.45), Morgan Leech (50Free 26.86, 100Free 57.87), Ryanne Haught (100Fly 1:08.75), and Becca Dorst (100Back 1:07.32). Boys varsity winners were Chris Kelvie (200Free 1;49.62, 100Back 58.72), Richard Hong (200IM 2:06.59, 500Free 5:09.28), Jason Kwok (50Free 23.72, 100Free 50.32), and Kai Masuda (100Fly 55.80). The Bears head to the PAL tournament next week. Congratulations to all swimmers for a fabulous season, and good luck at PALs!!!

BASEBALL
The varsity baseball team defeated Capuchino last week 7-2 with great pitching from Peter Verhaar.  The varsity baseball team won an important league game against Burlingame on Friday, 8 to 5.  Michael Stosz pitched 6 strong innings, giving up only 2 earned runs and Eric Stanske came in for the save.  Lee Bader fired in a missile strike from center field to catch the runner trying to tag up, saving a run and ending the inning.  Kevin Viegas, Stosz and Jeff Keller each had two hits.  The frosh/soph team beat Capuchino 12-0 with great pitching from Patrick Moriarity and great team hitting.

Go Bears.   Grrrr.
