BASEBALL
Over spring break, the varsity baseball team traveled to Sacramento and won the Rancho Cordova tournament. On Monday, they lost 9-7, but then they went on a four-game winning streak. Our 10-0 score spelled trouble, trouble, trouble for River City with Eric Stanske being the winning pitcher. Next, they defeated Rio Linda 2-1 with Matt Mosher pitching a no-hitter and hitting a home run. The next game was a 6-5 victory over Valley Christian in extra innings featuring a Michael Masket homer. In the championship game, MA defeated Central Christian 4-1 behind the strong pitching of Matt Hornberger.
Go Bears. Grrrr.
