SENIOR POLLS
Who has the best hair? Who will end up in the Sports Hall of Fame? Who are
you most scared to get into the car with? Come to G-7 at lunch next Tuesday
and Wednesday to vote for senior polls in the yearbook!
*Guidance Office/College & Career Center*
SENIORS: Saturday School will start up again this Saturday, January 12th.
School After School will start on Monday, January 14th. Please see your
counselor ASAP if you need credits for graduation.
JUNIORS: Come to the Career Center to sign up for the "Test Your Best"
workshop that will take place in the Career Center on Wednesday, January 16,
from 2:00 to 3:15. Learn relaxation skills, testing tips, and more . . .
plus you'll hear about the role of testing in college admission, and you'll
feel better about the SAT/ACT!
TECHNOLOGY CHALLENGE EXAM
The Technology Challenge Exam will be administered for the Spring semester
on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 1:45 p.m. Prior sign ups are required by
January 18, 2008. Students can come to the Guidance Office to sign up. To
get info on the tech exam, you can go to the district's website at

http://www.seq.org> and click on "For Students and Parents". Then scroll
down to Technology Graduation Requirements and then click on preparing for
the test.
*Clubs*
OUTREACH
Outreach meeting on Monday, January 14 at lunch in the Career Center. Come
learn about all the new activities for next semester. Bring a friend.

RUNNING FOR A REASON
Running for a Reason is getting ready for a February raffle and bake sale in
support of Hospice of the Valley. Join us this Sunday, January 13 at 2:30 at
Stanford Track for a fun workout and event planning. New members are always
welcome. See you there!
*Athletics*
Friday is our First QUAD Basketball games vs. Menlo!
FROSH/SOPH GIRLS BASKETBALL
Come cheer on the Girls Frosh/Soph Basketball team this Friday, January 11
at 4:45 p.m. at M-A when they play Menlo School. The team is ready for a
strong season and appreciates the school spirit and support.
BASEBALL
Attention all students who want to come out for Spring baseball, there will
be a mandatory baseball meeting in B-5 on Friday at 12 o'clock sharp. All
players interested in playing Spring baseball should attend this meeting to
meet the coaches/players from previous years.
WRESTLING
M-A Bear wrestlers battled Coach Parks' Sequoia team in an exciting dual
meet on Tuesday. Joe Buttram, Matt Fitzgerald, Jake Lindquist, and Vincent
Maier pinned their opponents, while Tony Staples and Roger Tonna also scored
victories. The team takes on Capuchino at M-A this Thursday, January 10, at
4 PM, and then hosts Jefferson on Tuesday, January 15, at 4 PM.
BADMINTON
Attention all badminton players there will be a mandatory meeting on
Thursday, January 17, 2008 during lunch in the old dance studio. Please be
there by 11:30. Thanks, Coach P.
FORE!
All golfers interested in the M-A boys golf teams should attend an
informational meeting on Friday, January 11 at noon in room E20 with Coach
Buff Giurlani. M-A fields both a varsity (scoring) and a JV (practice)
squad. Last year's varsity squad won the PAL league championship and
another exciting season lies ahead!
SPRING SPORTS PACKAGES
Packets are ready to be picked up now for any students interested in
participating in spring sports. Please come to the Administration Building,
AVP Office to get a packet and physical screening exam form. The completed
packets must be in by Monday February 4, 2008.
Go Bears. Grrrrr.
