BASEBALL
On Friday night, the varsity baseball team continued a great season with another league victory over Burlingame, 4-0. Matt Mosher pitched a 2-hit, 9 strikeout gem. Kevin Viegas had a great night at the plate, going 3-4 and knocking in two runs with a monster double. Lee Bader was 2 for 2 and Sam Knapp went 2 for 3. The varsity baseball team continued its winning ways with an exciting victory over Mountain View Saturday, 9-8. Matt Mosher hit a 3-run homer, his 11th of the season (which ties a school record), which was closely followed, a few hitters later, by a 3-run blast from Abi Arias. Arias was 3 for 4 for the day, Michael Masket was 2 for 3 and Sam Knapp was 2 for 4.

GOLF
The Varsity Golf team travelled to Palm Springs last week to participate in the Champions' Invitational High School golf tournament. While the Bears placed 18th among 36 teams, Junior Nick Sako tied for 11th place among 202 individuals with a 54 hole score of 220, or 4 over par, missing the top ten by only one stroke. Senior Nick Chladek posted a very impressive 4 under par 68 in the second round of play, just one stroke off the low round of the tournament. Also participating were Ben Jackson, Jake Hall Toy, Brian Jordan, and Will Bauer. The Bears face Sequoia on Monday and Tuesday this week, then Burlingame on Thurs.

Go Bears. Grrrr.
