Measure J is the Sequoia Union High School District bond issue that will

classrooms, provide career and technical education for biotechnology,
robotics and health sciences, upgrade each high school campus, and
create a 10-year technology fund to keep computers and technology up to
date. The PTA has voted to support this and we hope you support this
vital school bond. To contribute and learn more, please go to
www.communityforsequoia.org. Thank you! Julie Brody.

FOOTBALL
The varsity football team is doing its best to compete with the stellar
seasons of boy's and girl's water polo. They defeated Aragon in the CCS
semifinal game Friday night by a score of 41 to 28, advancing to the CCS
finals against Palo Alto Friday at Foothill at 7:00. Although suffering
from injuries to several key players, the Bears came out and played an
inspired game. Eric Stanske's opening kick off set the tone as he
placed his pooch kick perfectly and Matt Hornberger was able to recover.
The defense held strong, led by Russell Perkins with two fumble
recoveries and one interception. Steve DiSibio had a spectacular game,
catching three Troy McCabe touchdown throws. Matt Mosher also connected
with a touchdown to Sam Knapp. Both Bobby Bustos and Jamal Wilkins each
had a rushing touchdown. Come cheer on your Bears this Friday - and
bring a blanket!

SOCCER

girls as they kick off a tough but exciting season. Beat Menlo!

Go BEARS!!
