would like all graduating seniors to attend. Scholarships are available

SPRING ART AND MUSIC FESTIVAL
"Bearstock" will be appearing at the girls' soccer field on Saturday,
May 19, from 12-4pm. Come enjoy the student made art, student music and
drama productions, and culture club offerings. Admission is free, but
parking is $3 so try to walk, ride your bikes, or carpool. There will

sun and fun.
PAY YOUR FINES NOW!
The school treasurer informs us that Monday, May 21, is the last day to
use a check to pay fines for books, parking tickets, and other
transgressions. After May 21, payments must be in cash.
PRINCESS PROJECT: DRESS DRIVE FOR FORMALS
Are your daughters' old prom dresses taking up space in their closets
(or on their floors and chairs)? Help make another girl's prom night
special by donating unwanted dresses to the first annual Princess
Project Dress Drive. Project Princess allows underprivileged girls to
get their prom dress for free. Bring dresses to B-21 anytime before May
25.

BASEBALL
The varsity has entered the CCS playoffs with a #11 seed and will meet
Bellarmine tomorrow at 4 p.m. Please join us in the crowd and help
support your M-A baseball team.
LACROSSE
Our varsity boys have the highest team GPA of all boys' varsity lacrosse
teams in the Central Coast Section. The team received the section
trophy during a presentation at the PAL League finals last Saturday
In a game that lived up to its pre-game hype, the girls' varsity won the
PAL championship with an 8-7 victory over Menlo School at Burlingame on
Saturday. The girls started slowly, trailing early in the game by 5-2,
but rallied back for a 6-5 lead at the half. Kayla Ushman led the
scoring with 3 goals and 1 assist. Tenley Breen and Sam Bassin each had
2 goals. Adrian Holland had 1 goal, and Emily Wright added an assist.
The defense carried the day on Saturday. Julia Robinson faced 25 shots
on goal, turning aside 18. Megan Power and Sarah Vallarino also played
very solid defensive games.
This was a season of firsts for the girls. They went 16-0 in league
play, and became the first team other than Menlo (boys or girls) to
hoist a PAL championship lacrosse trophy.
SWIM: PAL CHAMPIONSHIP SWIM MEET RESULTS
Varsity boys finished third. Chris Kelvie was PAL champ in the 100 fly.
Chris Kelvie, Richard Hong, Jason Kwok, Jacob Morton, Peter Jacobs,
Robbie Eaton, and all 3 relays qualified for the CCS meet.
Varsity girls finished in fourth place. Lindsay Welton, Becca Dorst,
Sarah Winters, and all 3 relays qualified for the CCS meet.
Frosh-soph boys finished first and are the PAL champs. Individual PAL
champions were Simon Hood (100 IM and 100 back), Scott Swartz (50 Back
and 50 Fly), Jed Springer (200 Free), and Paul Jacob (50 Breast). All 3
relays finished second.
Frosh-soph girls also finished first with 709 points (a PAL record) and
are the PAL champs. Individual PAL champs were Vanessa Lane (200 Free),
Ryanne Haught (100 IM and 50 Fly), Rebecca Buchsbaum (50 Back), Morgan
Leech (100 Free), Maddy Martin (50 Breast), and Catherine Higgitt (100
Back). The Bears won all 3 relays by huge margins, and our B relays
were the second fastest in the PAL.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS IN CCS! GO BEARS!
