Coming off an exciting 38-36 win against Woodside with Wes Hagman sinking a three point shot to give M-A a two point lead with only seconds left to play, the freshman boys basketball team played their best basketball so far against Menlo. Vince Hagman led the way with 16 points with 9 in the 3rd quarter, and Stas Della-Morte setting the tone defensively and whose aggressive rebounding helped the Bears to a 50-42 win.
SOCCER
Girls Frosh/Soph Soccer
Only minutes into the first half, Christina Ochoa masterfully laid out an assist to Francesca Milinovich for a goal against hard to beat Terra Nova. The Frosh/Soph team held onto the lead and finished 1-0 at end of the second half in Thursdayâ s league game. Congratulations to Coach Snow and all the girls for their hard work and continuous display of team spirit! This weekâ s games are scheduled for Tuesday at Burlingame and Thursday at M-A against Aragon. Come cheer the girls on â itâ s never too cold or too wet for soccer! Go Bears!
Each year at this time, Athletic Boosters has mailed a letter to
everyone in the M-A community asking for donations from those who have not yet renewed their Boosters membership or have not yet become Big Bear Run sponsors. This mailing was timed to help replenish our coffers for our second and final granting session of the year, held in January.
This year, in an effort to avoid the expense of the mailing effort and
to be more environmentally friendly, we are instead conducting our
fundraising efforts online.
Please visit www.m-aboosters.org and click on 'Make a Donation' on the left menu.
Your gift of any size will help support M-A's athletes and coaches.
Please donate today!
*Go Bears. Grrrrr.*
