LAST CHANCE FOR GREASE

Last chance to see this stellar all-student production: this afternoon at 4=

use.) Buy $8 tickets from any cast member or email April Paye at apaye at seq=
.org. Remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Don't=
 miss it!

YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT

We are borrowing a tune from Grease to underscore how much the PTA needs yo=
ur help. From among our very talented parent population, we are trying to =
recruit:

--a co-vice president

--a secretary (not just any secretary-this is an exec board position)

--a co-chair for the calendar/directory to handle the information and photo=
s section

--an eNotes editor (easy, fun job, folks!)

--fashion show co-chairs

--junior parent meeting co-chairs

--a Trivocis copy editor and a calendar editor =

If you would like to step forward (or if you want to nominate the perfect c=
andidate) please call or email David Jones at 328-5249 or DMacLJones at aol.co=
m.

OPEN HOUSE (YES, IT'S HERE)

Open House begins at 7 p.m. tonight with a general meeting in the J buildin=
g for new parents. Classrooms will be open from 7:30-9 p.m. Please stop by=
, talk to your students' teachers, and find out more about our incredible s=
chool. We hope to see a huge turnout

If your student has come home missing a few bits and pieces, those items ma=
y be sitting in the front office lost & found. Articles not claimed this w=

icco

SAT SUBJECT EXAMS

The recent Trivocis article about SAT subject exam preparation at M-A menti=
oned that the signup date for these sessions is Wednesday, April 18 at lunc=
h. However, you must sign up for the exams themselves by going to www.colle=
geboard.com. Although the deadline for the June 2 exams is April 27, the =
earlier you sign up, the greater the likelihood that you will find space in=
a local school and not have to drive to San Francisco (or farther) that da=
y. =

Note also that students need to indicate how many tests they are taking on =
June 2 when they complete the online registration. They can wait until Jun=
e 2 to indicate which exams they want to take, but if they sign up for only=
two exams, for example, they can only take 1 or 2; they cannot take three =
that day. =

SENIOR PARENTS: TIME TO ORDER CAPS AND GOWNS

Make sure your senior picks up cap and gown information in B-21. All gradu=
ation and prom information is available online at www.mabears.org. Note a=
lso that students who cannot afford caps and gowns can apply for financial =
aid. See Geri Nicholas in the office.

GRAD NIGHT NOTES

The decorations committee for Grad Night 2007 needs white, clear lights on =
cords (Christmas tree lights). If you can loan yours, please send them with=
your student to the collection box in the school office.

Also, make sure that your senior has purchased Grad Night 2007 tickets for =
the PTA-sponsored, all-night, safe & sober party that will take place on th=
e night of Graduation. Ticket requests are available in English and Spanish=
in the school office, and must be signed by parents and accompanied by a c=
heck for $100 payable to M-A Grad Night 2007. Scholarships are available; s=
tudents should speak to Geri Nicholas. =

JUNIOR PARENTS' GUIDANCE NIGHT WITH KAREN RAMIREZ =

The meeting, scheduled for Monday, April 23 from 7-8 p.m in the M-A library=
features a jam-packed 60 minute meeting about senior year at M-A. Karen R=
amirez, lead guidance counselor, will speak on school and district graduati=
on completion requirements. Hear about PTA-sponsored events such as the an=
nual October Fashion Show and Grad Night celebration in June. This meeting =
gives you an overview of the year to come. (Note that this is not a colleg=
e planning night.) Please RSVP to PTA Junior Parents' Night co-chairs Charl=
ene Margot at charlenemargot at yahoo.com or Stacia Weisenfluh at sweisenfluh@=
covad.net.

JUNIOR/SENIOR PROM: TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW!

This year's prom is scheduled for Friday, May 11 at the San Francisco Regen=
cy Center at 1300 Van Ness Avenue from 8 pm to midnight. =

Tickets are now on sale for PAL singles only; your student can buy one for =
$40 in front of B21 at lunch. Couples tickets will be available after spr=
ing break! Guest passes are available too. For more info, contact Jenna C=
arson at jcarson at seq.org.

Students who want to earn the money for tickets should sign up in B-20. Eac=
h hour of work outside class hours earns students a 10 credit towards a dan=
ce ticket! See Mrs Todd in B-20 with any questions.

CAREER FAIR

We will be hosting our first annual career fair on April 30 from 6 to 8 p.m=
. Students are invited to come meet professionals from a variety of backgro=
unds. Fun, food, and facts about your potential future!

Dunnahoo-Kirsch protected the net with 16 saves.
