our school community. You can help in several ways:
DONATE: Give cans or cash to your students or bring them to the leadership
room, B-21. If you would like to write a check, you can make it payable to
M-A Leadership or M-A Canned Food Drive and deliver to B-21 or the student's
4th period teacher.
VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME: If you would like to help sort cans, fill baskets, or
drive for deliveries we need you! If you are available during any of the
days listed below, please contact Diane Kelvie (dkelvie at aol.com, 364-5950)
or Sarah Fitzgerald (sarahgfitz at aol.com, 322-7979):

***SPORTS***
Girls Lacrose
Pre-season meeting Friday, Nov. 1st, Coach Tomijima will be in the old dance
studio during your lunch break. I will be going over important dates and I
will also need to get your updated information. I expect all intending JV
and Varsity players to be there. If you all arrive early, we should be able
to end quickly, so please try and head over as soon as you can with your
cans of food.
SOCCER
Congratulations to the frosh/soph girls' soccer team for their 3-0 victory
over Sequoia yesterday. Casey Burnett, Ashley Roberts, and Becca Mein netted
the goals for the lady bears and keeper Liv Vagelos secured her second
straight shutout.
And at the varsity level. . . Not that we were keeping score because it was
only a scrimmage but the varsity girls' soccer team scored 5 goals vs.
Castilleja yesterday including a hat trick by senior forward Kaitlin McGhee
plus one each from Tiffany Kung and Kim O'Donnell).
