Tonight: Sports awards night! 

 Tomorrow: last day to drop classes, order panorama pictures; Caliente 
dance is at night

 November 30: Cat on a Hot Tin Roof opens

 
RAGS AND CANS
 
Leadership needs clean rags and painting supplies (new brushes, rollers, 
and pans) for ongoing beautification. Please drop off in B-22.
 
This is also our canned food drive week: bring in cans tomorrow or Monday.
 
 
LAST DAY TO DROP CLASSES
 
is tomorrow, November 17.  Students need to see their guidance advisors 
pronto if they need to drop a class.
 
HOLA M-A!
 
The M-A Caliente dance, featuring salsa, reggaeton, rap, hip hop, and 
much more is scheduled for Friday, November 17 from 7-10 p.m.  Tickets 
are available for $5 in front of the leadership room, B-21. Attendees 
must bring student IDs.
 
CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF
 
M-A students will be presenting this renowned Tennesee Williams play on 
Thursday, November 30, Friday, December 1, and Saturday, December 2 with 
shows at 7 p.m. on each day plus (in the best Broadway tradition) a 2 
p.m. matinee on December 2. All shows will be held in the Black Box 
Theatre (room C-16) at Menlo-Atherton High School. For tickets, email 
apaye at seq.org or stop by room C-16 during lunch and buy a ticket for $8. 
 This show will play one weekend only, and you won't want to miss Julia 
Robinson in her first starring role at Maggie the Cat and freshman 
sensation Keenan Rehlich as Brick Pollit.
 
WEAR THE BEAR
 
Bear Wear is available in the Student Store each day at lunch!  We have 
t-shirts for $10, baseball t-shirts for $15, white crewneck sweatshirts 
for $20 and gray pocket hoodies for $25.  Also, support your student's 
class by buying a class shirt for a mere $10. Bear Wear will also be 
available for purchase at the football game.  If you have any questions 
about Bear Wear, please feel free to contact Kelly Todd at ktodd at seq.org.
 
PARENTS OF SENIORS
 
Cheer up!  They'll be second semester seniors before you know it.
 
IT'S NOT TOO SOON TO BUY YOUR GRAD NIGHT TICKETS
 
The PTA is hosting a safe and sober all-night party at a top-secret 
location to celebrate the Class of 2007's graduation. Tickets are $85 
and scholarships are available.  Get your tickets early, as prices will 
rise to $100 after January 1.  For a ticket order form or any questions

YEARBOOK DEDICATIONS
 
Seniors' personal dedication pages are due by November 17. Seniors who 
need a form should see Ms Woolf during sixth period or after school.
 
PANORAMIC PHOTOS
 
You can still order panoramic photos of the senior class.  The price is 
$18 with out the frame and $30 with a frame, checks should be payable to 
LIFETOUCH, and turned in to Ms Woolf's box by November 17.  Thank you to 
all who have already ordered yours!
 
PROJECT BACKPACK
 
Help clothe the chilly: bring your travel-sized toiletries and other 
essentials (toothbrush, toothpaste), jackets, warm clothes, and 
especially backpacks to A-4 in the office.  Outreach will give all items 
will be given to the poor and homeless in San Francisco.
 
OUR LIBRARY NEEDS YOUR BOOKS
 
If you have extra copies of the following books, the M-A library would 
be glad to take them off your hands so that students can use them for 
extra credit assignments.  Please drop the books off at the library.

OLD CELL PHONES
 
Got old and unused phones lying around the house? The M-A Key Club 
(associated with Kiwanis) is having a cell phone drive with proceeds 
benefiting local children in our local area. Please drop your cell 
phones in the box in the front office.
 
WANTED: OLD COMPUTERS...
 
Working or not, for deserving M-A students.  If your family or your 
business has computers to donate, please contact Sue Kayton

2007 YEARBOOKS
 
Yearbook order forms are now available on line at the M-A website. You 
can either download an order form or pay with a credit card on line!  
You can also go directly to Jostens at

(be careful if you copy/paste the foregoing into your browser--some of 
the letters may drop off the end and will have to be manually 
appended).  Price for the yearbook is $65 until January 19.  If you have 
questions or would like to buy a personal dedication page for your 
senior, please email the staff at MA_yearbook at yahoo.com
 
If you used a check to pay for your yearbook, please keep your returned 
check. This is the only proof of your order and your only receipt.  You 
can also email M-A yearbook at ma_yearbook at yahoo.com and ask if your 
order has gone through.
 
LUNCH MADE EASY
 
You can prepay for your students' school lunches simply by writing a 
check for the amount you wish to prepay and sending it with your student 
to give to any food kiosk attendant or mailing it to SUHSD Food Services 
480 James Avenue Redwood City, CA  94062.  
 
Be sure to include your student's ID number on the check.  If the check 
is for more than one student, indicate each student's ID and the amount 
per student. Checks should be payable to SUHSD Food Services.
 
After receiving the check, Food Services will mail a PIN to your home 
address.  The student simply enters the PIN at any food kiosk to access 
the money in the account. Questions? Call 369-1411 extension 2590.
 
***SPORTS***
 
FOOTBALL
 
Our varsity team will play their first CCS playoff game at M-A on 
Saturday, November 18 at 1 p.m.  Come out and cheer on the Bears as they 
take on Santa Teresa!
 
Because the playoff is a CCS game, CCS sets the prices.  Admittance is 
$5 for students with a PAL and $9 general admission.  There's a family 
plan (two general admission + two kids) for $18, seniors ages 60 and up 
are $5, and children ages 12 and under are $2. Only passes accepted for 
free entrance are CIF and CCS passes.  No other boosters' passes are 
accepted, and everyone needs a ticket for entrance Gates will open at 
11:45.
 
FALL SPORTS AWARDS
 
Awards will be distributed tonight!!  All coaches, parents, and athletes 
are invited to join us at 7 p.m. in the J building.
 
CONDITIONING FOR ALL
 
Head Track & Field Coach Vic will be running strength and conditioning 
course four days a week for all student athletes that want to get 
stronger, faster, and better conditioned no matter what sports they play.
 
Meet at the track on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3-5 p.m. and/or 
Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:15-4:30 p.m. to participate.  Students 
will also be using the weight room.  Cost: lots of hard work, lots of 
fun, and an occasional plate of cookies, brownies, turkey sandwich, or 
other treat for the coach.  Contact Coach Vic with any questions at
