[MA PTA E-Notes Community List (Incoming Freshmen, Alumni, Teachers, Community members)]

Big Bear Run Wrap Up
Bear hugs to all of you who participated in the Big Bear Run, whether
you were a runner, volunteer, jazz musician or spectator. In all, we had
450 runners and raised approximately $40,000 in funds that will go
directly to our 52 Sports Teams. To find out the winning times and all

The top three male runners from M-A were Billy Hale, Robbie Merk and
Andy Del Calvo. The top three female runners were Suzanne Eldrege,
Lauren Mouat and Heather Fox. We hope they enjoyed their gift cards to
Starbucks, Coldstone Creamery and Quiznos! Kudos to the Boys' basketball
team, the Track Team and the Cross Country team- all three sports won
$500 each for greatest number (or greatest percentage) of participating
athletes. We'd like to extend a personal thank you to Coach Parks,
Former Coach Plato Yanicks, Denise Plante, Matt Zito, Judy Duran, Frank
Moura and Joe Fontana for helping to make our 1st Annual Big Bear Run a
runaway success. 
Lastly, we'd like to thank the Atherton Police, the M-A custodial staff
and John Agapen, and Phil Arcuni our fabulous M-A Bear.

Computers needed
WANTED: Old computers for needy incoming M-A students. Do you or your
company have an old computer lying around that you're not using? Donate
it to the M-A PTA. We will securely erase all information off the
computer, refurbish it, and send it home with a needy student. We need
about 150 computers for students who will start school this September.
Please pass the word to friends, family, and co-workers. To donate,
