FASHIONISTAS AND WANNABES: THIS ONE'S FOR YOU! 
The PTA Fashion Show featuring Senior Models, scheduled for October 21,
is the primary fundraiser for M-A's PTA, with hundreds of volunteer
opportunities available to fit your schedule and interests. Parents from
all classes are encouraged to join in the fun and help with a job. We
have filled all chair positions and now need committee members.

CHALLENGE DAY 
M-A's incredible freshmen event needs volunteers. If you can lead a
small group or help with event logistics, please sign up to work on
campus on Monday, October 30 and/or Tuesday, October 31 between 7:15 am
and 3 p.m. 
A training session for small group leaders is scheduled for Saturday,
October 28 from 9-10 a.m. at M-A.

YEARBOOK ORDERS 
Even though school hasn't started, we're already thinking about those
final June days. If you can help collect yearbook orders during arena
check-in on August 17 or 18, email yearbook advisor Ellen Woolf at
ewoolf at seq.org 

PARENTS FOR PARENTS 
Would you like to get together with a group of fellow parents for
presentations by professional adolescent and family counselors? We are
scheduling neighborhood meetings for parents to talk about common issues
and to work on empowering each other. Contact Ann Ryals,

TENNIS 
The Menlo-Atherton Athletic Department is happy to announce that the new
coaching staff for the M-A girls' tennis team is none other than the
coaching staff of the M-A boys' tennis team. Our coaching trio includes
M-A alum and former touring professional, Carlos Aguilar, a former
nationally ranked player, Tom Sorenson, and assistant coach Gary Peck. 
The Sorenson/Aguilar duo has guided the boys' Teams to three CCS
quarterfinal finishes in the last six years. Their coaching and playing
experience at the highest levels along with a solid nucleus of talented
returnees from last year's squad should set the foundation for a solid
and successful year for the girls. They have recruited local tennis
luminaries such as Alan Margot, Ken Robinson, and Brian Keating to help
at practices and plan to schedule intra-squad workouts with the boys'
team. 
Afternoon practices begin Monday, August 14. Medical forms must be
complete, including physician's signature, to participate in practice.
