I am a resource for students, teachers, and parents. I help students
explore their college options after graduating from Carlmont -- whether
it is a public, private, in-state, or out-of-state, two or four year
college. I am also a resource for helping students explore NCAA
recruitment strategies or exploring a music program (conservatory or
general).

I am quite knowledgeable in all that the college application and
college search process entails. My expertise lies in helping students
(and parents) gather information about selectivity, opportunities in
college, and strategies to help polish your college applications and/or
increase the likelihood of applying as a viable college candidate.

If you know of any students or have friends (or neighbors) that should
be on this e-list, please encourage them to join as I worry they may
miss out on some pertinent information.

COMING THIS SPRING at CARLMONT COLLEGE CENTER

I will hold a meeting on applying to private colleges. My goal is to
address how the college experience differs between a private and a
public college/university? What do privates look for on the
application? What do ivy leagues look for?

I will also hold some informational meetings highlighting UC and CSU
campuses and the criteria they use to admit students (last year we had
over 30 students get into UCLA and credit the student who worked
diligently on their UC applications by attending the many workshops I
held on writing their college essay and "UCLA Case Study" workshop.)

Lastly, I will hold an evening presentation on college admission exams.
I will cover when students should start worrying about taking SAT or
ACT exams? Which exams do colleges prefer? How many times should we
take it? Does it look bad if you take it more than once?

Stay tuned! And refer a Carlmont student to join this e-list!

:-)
