OTHER
HAPPY 54TH ANNIVERSARY CARLMONT - On April 19, 1953, 250 Freshmen and Sophomores became Carlmont's first students. They began their year as a school-within-a-school at Sequoia (because construction was not completed) with their 26 teachers, under the leadership of Principal Dr.Thor Krogh. These pioneers were Highlanders, now known as the Scots, with no T-, U- or A-Wings, no Little Theatre, no Quad, and no landscaping or filled swimming pool. Carlmont has come a long way, with its student population fluctuating between 1,300 and 2,400. Excellence in Education has always filled the Carlmont halls. Carlmont has over 20,000 graduates. Happy Anniversary - Go Scots. - Sanchez
