IMPORTANT INFO

LAST CHANCE TO GET YOUR PICTURE TAKEN.... TODAY!  Re-takes may ONLY be
taken before school, at lunch, and after school 'til 3:30.  Everyone
else who needs a picture taken will be excused from class.  This is your
last opportunity for a FREE STUDENT I.D. !!!!!  TODAY is the last chance
to get your picture taken. - Kelly

If you received a re-designation letter from Ms. Alvarez in your 1st or
2nd period last Friday which required a parent signature, please turn it
into her ASAP. There is a manila envelope on the window of T1 in the
small office in the back of the room. Please place your forms in there

CLASS INFO

Seniors! Homecoming is around the corner. Do you want to get nominated
for Queen or King? Come to the senior class meeting TODAY at lunch in
C-12.  - Kelly

Seniors!  Do you still need the technology requirement to graduate? 
Are you doing a portfolio to complete this requirement?  If so, please
note that all portfolios must be signed off by December 8th.  Visit
www.seq.org or see your counselor at lunch if you need more

CLUBS AND PROGRAMS

MEAT is having it's first meeting TODAY at lunch in E-1. - Harrison

If you want to get to know other Jewish students and do fun Jewish
activities, join the Jewish Club! We will have a club meeting on Friday

What are you doing at the start of summer?  Want to be part of
Carlmont's Costa Rica trip?  Have an interest to see and work with
hatchlings of leatherbacks?  Want to know more about birds, reptiles,
and butterflies of the Costa Rican rainforest?  Come to an informational
meeting at lunch this Tuesday in room C3 and learn about this school
year's exciting 11-day Costa Rica adventure.  See Ms. Doss if you have

The Break dance club will have its first meeting on Tuesday, Oct 3rd in
room B-2 at lunch. Come to watch, learn or to dance!

Do you like Frisbee? Do you want to play ultimate Frisbee? Come to B-2

Come to the Pizza sale at the Belmont Festival in Twin Pines Park to
support the class of 09. The festival will be held this Saturday and
Sunday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.- Kelly

PERFORMING ARTS

Grease is STILL the word! Grease sing-a-long Friday, September 29th
(this Friday) at 7:30pm in the Carlmont High School Gym. The cost is
$10.00 per person (includes free popcorn). Free for kids 5 and under.
Tickets are available at the door!
When a big musical number begins the lyrics will show up and you get to
sing-a-long! All proceeds benefit Carlmont Choirs' Tour to New York. -

Auditions for Carlmont's first Improv Troupe are Friday at 3:30 in
the Little Theatre. See Mrs. Martin for more details. - Martin

SPORTS

Girls! Girls! Girls! Do you Wanna play Powderpuff football, but you
missed the meeting? There is still time to sign up! Sign-ups are now
posted outside the ASB room window. Sign ups will go until Oct 2nd.
Seniors who are involved, there will be a short meeting on Oct 2nd in
the ASB room. Please show up! - Kelly

There will be a mandatory varsity boys soccer meeting on Tuesday
October 3rd in t-4 during lunch.  We will be discussing important
information for the upcoming Soccer season. - Selli

The Carlmont Boy's Basketball Teams are sponsoring a fundraiser by
holding a huge rummage sale, bake sale, and barbecue this Saturday,
Sept. 30th from 9:00-3:00 in the Senior Parking Lot. Come buy a treasure
and something yummy and support our basketball teams. - Plack
