COLLEGE AND CAREER
Seniors: The deadline to sign-up for the October 28th - ACT or ACT Plus
Writing - test date without a late fee is Friday, Sept. 22nd. Visit the
College Center for details. - Dominguez
Attention all students -- don't wait until you start applying to
colleges to do community service. Come to the College Center and pick
up an application to tutor at local elementary schools as part of
Carlmont's Homework Club. - Dominguez
Oregon State University will be in the College Center during 1st period
(9:00 am) this Wednesday. OSU has about 15,000 students with a freshman
class of about 3,000. They offer scholarships for out-of-state
applicants with at least a 3.0 GPA and they have courses to help
Freshman explore majors. - Dominguez
CLUBS AND PROGRAMS
Do you surf, skim board or boogie board? Well if you do then come to
T-7 on Wednesday the 20th at lunch and sign up for the Nor Cal Beach
Boarders Club. - Fung
Outdoor Ed Counselors needed. If you are interested in being an
Outdoor Ed counselor, go see Mr. Kelly in room A8 to pick up an
application. Outdoor Ed is not a person! No, no. It's an experience of
a lifetime. Outdoor Ed is not related to the horse! It's something
that will change your life. So, get down to Mr. Kelly's room and pick
up an Outdoor Ed application. - Kelly
Are you creative? Do you craft? Want to make some extra money? Be a
vendor at Carlmont's First Craft Faire on November 4th from 10-5 in the
student union. It costs $60 for a table, and you can keep all of your
profits! Applications can be found on the AVID webpage:

Guitar Club IS BACK!!! Come to E-7, Mr. Nichols room every Friday
during lunch. Bring your own guitar, play someone else's', or just
come to hang out and eat lunch. It doesn't matter what kind of music
you play, come check it out. That's every Friday at lunch in E-7. -

IMPORTANT INFO
Did you want your name printed in the Student Directory? Did you forget
to turn in the PTSA form at Arena Check in? Get a PTSA form from Ms.
Chamorro in the front of the Admin office, and turn it in by Friday. -

Students: Please be aware that the last day to drop a class without
record for first semester will be Friday, September 29. - Bailey
SPORTS
Boys basketball sign ups will be on Tuesday 9/19 at the beginning of
lunch in the gym. This is a mandatory meeting. - Low
Soccer Soccer Soccer.....Girls Soccer. If you are a girls soccer
player, there is a mandatory meeting on Thursday, September 21. Girls
Soccer, next Thursday, at lunch in the gym. All Girls Soccer players,
Frosh Soph AND Varsity. Meet in the gym at lunch next Thursday. -
