Winter Formal will be held on January 20th, 2007.Parents are needed from7:30 PM to 12:30 AM for positions like Check-In,Coat Check, and Bar Tender. We really need your help. Please contact Itzy if you are interested. Itzy1734 at aol.com 

The December/January issue of the Bagpiper is now posted on the Carlmont website. Go to http://carlmont.seq.org, scroll down until you see Bagpiper December 2006² on the lefthand side, and click on it. This will download the Adobe file onto your computer, and you can read it there or print it out. Note that this issue covers TWO months! Be sure to check out all of the important December dates as well as January activities. And, the hardcopy of this Bagpiper probably won¹t be arriving for another week -- so, by going to

CLUBS AND PROGRAMS

Are you ready for Winter Formal? Winter formal is almost here. The theme is " A moonlit Affair". Tickets go on sale online - that's right online! Beginning Monday, Dec 4th for $27 with a PAL and $32 without. Go to www.carlmont.seq.org! - Kelly

There is a mandatory CHISPA meeting Dec. 4th, that is Monday! We will have our first official salsa practice on Monday at 3:25 in the Student Union. - Cho

Madden NFL Tournament on playstation 2.  You think you're good.  Can you walk the walk or just talk the talk.  Come show what you got and sign up in E-7 at lunch this week for the Madden Football tournament, which will begin Tuesday December 7th.  Hurry, spots are limited.  Winner gets a Best Buy gift certificate and bragging rights for one year.  Once again sign ups this week in E-7.  See you then - Nichols

Extra, Extra, Read all about it!  The first issue of the Carlmonitor newspaper is hot off the presses and on newsstands now.  Look for it in your English classrooms or in the library.  Read the student perspective on what's going down here at Carlmont and beyond.  - Kauffmann 

SPORTS

Golf Team.  There will be a Golf Team meeting next Wednesday in the Gym.  There will be an important announcement there.  Everyone who wants to be on the Golf Team needs to be at this meeting.  Golf Team meeting in the Gym on Wednesday at lunch. - Kelly

PERFORMING ARTS

The Carlmont Choirs' 2006 Winter Concert is this Friday evening (December 1st) at 7:00PM. The concert is at Carrington Hall on the Sequoia High School campus at 1210 Brewster Avenue in Redwood City.
All seven choirs will be singing and we expect to have a great show! 
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors and free for middle school and elementary school kids. You can send me an email and I will pull out your tickets on will call or you can purchase tickets at the door. - Sagi

Don't miss the Instrumental Music Winter Concerts. Join us on Monday (Dec 4) evening at 7 in the Little Theatre for the Orchestra and the Symphonic Band and/or on Thursday (Dec 7) evening at 7 in the Little Theatre for the Concert Band and Jazz Band. Each concert features perennial seasonal favorites and an assortment of other interesting fare. Tickets are: adults $7, Carlmont students $5 and Carlmont faculty and staff are free. - Miner

CLASS INFO

Seniors (Class of 2007) who wish to submit a technology portfolio in order to satisfy the Technology Graduation Requirement must do so no later than Friday, December 8, 2006.  See your Guidance Counselor or Mr. Engberg for details. - Engberg
