THE SPEEDWAY is the fast, cool place to go for breakfast, brunch and lunch.

The EXPRESSWAY serves the combo lunch - 5 entrée choices everyday plus 1, 2, or 3 side dishes for one low price. Combo breakfasts are available before school and during brunch. The EXPRESSWAY is the only place where your meal PIN numbers are accepted. Prepayment for school meals accepted in increments of $10 or more.

THE PIT STOP, has a la carte foods, sodas and snacks. The PIT STOP accepts cash sales only. Lines will move more quickly and make things easier on everyone if everyone brings small bills or exact change whenever possible.

THE PIT STOP ALSO FEATURES:

• The FUEL TANK offers specialty coffee drinks, gourmet hot chocolates and breakfast food items during breakfast and brunch.
  
  
• The PIT STOP has favorite foods during lunch from outside vendors, i.e. like Domino’s Pizza, K2 Gourmet Chinese Food...
  
  
• "GO" Carts and "SUPER GO" Carts, offer the speediest service on snack foods and cold drinks. The “SUPER GO” Carts requests exact change only whenever possible to help speed the line up.

Free and Reduced Price Meals at the Speedway

If your family does not qualify for meal benefits (see the income table), please write the student’s name and school on the application and the words "DO NOT QUALIFY" on the application.

• If your income Qualifies your family for meal benefits, complete an application and be sure to:
• Include a parent signature – we can’t process the application without a signature.
• List the social security number of the parent signer or write "NONE" if the signer doesn’t have one.
• List the names of all of the children and the schools they attend and then list the children who don’t go to school.
• List all adult household members and their monthly income.

If you receive Food Stamps or CalWorks benefits, complete an application and be sure to:

• Include a parent signature – we can’t process the application without a signature.
• List the names of the children receiving benefits and their Food Stamp, CalWorks case number.

STUDENTS SHOULD TURN IN THEIR APPLICATIONS ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

DEBIT ACCOUNTS ARE AT THE EXPRESSWAY

An Expressway PIN# will only work for the Combo lunch at the Expressway - it will not work at any of the other serving areas.

How do you get an Expressway account?

It's easy! Each student already has an account on the system. All you need to do is come to the Expressway - located inside the Student Union - and deposit some money to activate your "debit" account. This means that each time you come in for breakfast or lunch you "withdraw" from the money in your account and pay for the day's breakfast or lunch.

If you qualify for Free or Reduced Price Meals you need to have an approved, current year application on file with Food Services. The computer will know and act as if you have meal credits in the system. If you are eligible for reduced price meals, the cashier will ask you for the reduced price amount, or you can prepay, which means you won't have to carry money everyday.

MEMORIZE YOUR PIN NUMBER AND DON'T GIVE IT TO FRIENDS!
The system works just like a bank ATM - if someone get a hold of your number, they will have access to your account and you will be the one to lose out.
