Woodside High School is hosting this year's WRRF Northern California Robot Games.
The games will be held on October 13th from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
This event provides a competitive opportunity for thirty teams of high school students who have built their robots as part of the FIRST Robotics Competition. Teams from high schools, mostly in the Bay area, will be competing including, of course, Teams 100
(Woodside/Carlmont) and 766 (Menlo-Atherton). We also have teams coming from as far away as Corvallis, Oregon and Atascadero,California.
It will be fun and exciting for the whole family to watch as the students work on and compete with their robots. The 120+ pound robots will be playing the 2007 FRC “Rack 'N' Roll” game, which features three-versus-three alliances of robots scoring by placing
pool rings on a central rack structure or by lifting other robots off the ground.
