Working with the District

 

The Administrative Services Division provides leadership and direction for the district’s business operations. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for Accounting,
 
Budget and Finance, Construction, Food Services, Maintenance and Operations, Purchasing, Reprographics, Telephone Reception & Warehouse, and shares oversite of Technology with Ed. Services.

 

The division oversees:

  • Collection, disbursement and accounting of all district funds
  • Information on fiscal and long-range planning
  • The bidding process, inventory control records and accountability of property
  • Construction and modernization of district facilities
  • Property and liability insurance coverage, processing of claims, and obtaining proof of insurance for off-campus school activities
  • Dissemination of legal decisions
  • Community use of school facilities

  • Bond Dollars at Work

  • Bond Oversight Committee (Measure G)
    Measure G is an $88 million bond passed under Proposition 39 by the voters in the Sequoia Union High School District in November, 2001. The legal requirements of Measure G is to establish an Oversight Committee, composed of community members representing local businesses, senior citizens’ organizations, a bona fide tax payers’ organization, as well as involved parents of a child enrolled in a district school. The seven member Committee is charged with the responsibility of assuring voters that bond proceeds are expended effectively and in compliance with the projects listed in the Measure G ballot language.

    Measure H is a $70 million bond passed under Proposition 98 by the voters in the Sequoia Union High School District in November, 2004.  The legal requirements of Measure H is to establish an Oversight Committee composed of community members representing local businesses, senior citizens’ organization, a bona fide tax payers’ organization, as well as involved parent of a child enrolled in a District school.  The eight member committee is charged with the responsibility of assuring voters that the bond proceeds are spent effectively and in compliance with the projects listed in the Measure “H” ballot language.
  • KCEA Radio - Memories 89.1FM
    KCEA is a non-profit, non-commercial, educational radio station. KCEA has a library of over a thousand albums and compact disc's of the big band era, which is always expanding. KCEA produces and airs free Public Service Anouncements (PSA's) for local events such as concerts, dances, community activities, and information on consumer and health awareness.
  • Purchasing
    Sequoia Union High School District Purchasing Department provides centralized purchasing and related services to all departments of District High Schools, and co-operative members.
  • Transportation: Driving the future
    Sequoia Union High School District's transportation program strenthen's our community while helping our precious environment. Wether your child is attending one of our high schools, or an elementary feeder school, rest assured that our professional and courteous transportation department is having a positive affect!
