I am
Julia Schulman and I have been a teacher for over 15 years. I was always
an artist, and received my arts education at Parsons School of Design in
New York City, graduating with a BFA in Illustration. I received my art
teaching credential from Bank Street College of Education in New York, and
I earned my English teaching credential from San Francisco State University.
I have taught all age groups from very young to very old, and began my career
teaching in a small private art college in Israel, where I lived for almost
10 years. I taught for 11 years in the San Francisco Unified School District,
first at Potrero Hill Middle School of the Arts, where I was the art department
chair, and later at Raoul Wallenberg Traditonal High School, where I taught
Art I and Advanced Art. I am thrilled to be in my second year at Carlmont
High School. This year, I am teaching Ceramics, Art I, and Illustration
and Design.
I am a career teacher, meaning I love what I do!
